Activision Vows To Fix 'Broken' Vanguard And Warzone

Call of Duty has suffered a wealth of problems over the last few years, but in most recent weeks, the issues caused by bugs and cheaters have looked bleakest, mostly because they're incredibly long-standing at this point.

A cheating issue emerged in Modern Warfare and when Warzone opened its doors, and since, hackers have made the games their playground despite the franchise's pushback in the form of ban-waves and their mostly ineffective RICOCHET anti-cheat measures.

But, thankfully, Call of Duty fans aren't suffering in silence, or alone - because Activision knows there are problems, and they're getting to work on fixing them.

Activision Address Amplified Problems In Call Of Duty

Call of Duty has come forward with a message for fans, stating that they know there's a wealth of problems that span Vanguard, Warzone and Modern Warfare. The statement, made on the game series' social channels, indicates that the companies working on these games will be prioritising fixing the problems that many players have reported.

"We wanted to take a minute to talk about fixing the game", reads the post. "We hear you, and we feel your frustrations. Our teams are hard at work addressing the issues that are being experienced across Vanguard, Warzone, and Modern Warfare. Updates are being deployed as quickly as possible. We want everyone to have a seamless experience, no matter which game, game mode or platform you play on."

What Changes Are Coming To Call Of Duty?

According to the post, the changes being focussed on are pretty urgent. Warzone is putting effort into resolving console performance, undoing the returning invisible skin glitch, and fixing a bug that sees players freeze up when using a buy station.

Vanguard, surprisingly, has more to iron out - weapon and perk nerfs & buffs are coming, as well as altering the diversity of mode spread and tidying up the Zombies mode.

There's seemingly a lot of changes happening at Call of Duty HQ, and the game should be better for it - but that's if these fixes don't come with bugs of their own. We're hoping for the best, but expecting the worst.
