Dark Souls 3 Online Is Back From The Dead
Dark Souls has suffered in the run-up to, and wake of, Elden Ring's release. The games are some of the most influential in recent memory, and as Elden Ring saw all of its due attention from FromSoftware, its previous games took a backseat.
As is our luck, Dark Souls conked out the second it wasn't having attention paid to it, and the game's multiplayer aspects were compromised to such a violent degree that FromSoftware was forced to close it all down temporarily. This was before Elden Ring, too, so we've been waiting a very long time for its return - and now it's finally here.
What's Going On With Dark Souls Multiplayer?
Well, it's about time. After months of waiting, Dark Souls 3 players can finally reactivate their online features and call for help if they need it.
The news was revealed by the official Dark Souls Twitter account, explaining that the PC version of the game is back in action. "Online features for the PC version of Dak Souls III have been reactivated," reads the tweet. "We are working to restore these features for all other #DarkSouls titles and will inform you when they are back in service. Thank you once more for your patience and support.
Who knows when the other Dark Souls games will follow suit, but this is a great sign. If Dark Souls 3 is back online, there's the implication that its predecessors aren't all that far off from leaping back to life.
Why Did Dark Souls Multiplayer Break In The First Place?
