Dignitas Announce NFL Star Boston Scott Will Join Pro Rocket League Roster
Boston Scott, the NFL star featuring in the Running Back position for the Philadelphia Eagles, has officially become a two-sport athlete. The American-born 26-year-old has officially signed a professional contract with Dignitas' Rocket League roster to become their substitute and content creator.
Scott, who goes by the online alias of "B0ston", is a long-time Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars player, having successfully maintained the Grand Champion status in the current in-game season - a rank which is awarded to the top 0.5% of Rocket League players.
Dignitas officially unveiled B0ston's arrival during the NBA match between Philadelphia 76ers and Washington Wizards, sporting the black and yellow jersey of Dignitas as he rang the Liberty Bell to kick off the game, alongside New Meta Entertainment CEO Michael Prindville.
Despite having eight touchdowns to his name for the Eagles, Dignitas' new sub has labelled the signing as a "dream come true".
B0ston said, "the fact that I'm able to join Dignitas is a dream come true. I’m so excited to work with this organisation and I'm extremely grateful they have given me the chance to be a part of them. Pro football has made me fall in love with competition, learning, and shown me the importance of teamwork. No matter what is in front of me I’ve learned how to adapt and overcome. The current roster of Joris "Joreuz" Robben, Jack "ApparentlyJack" Benton, and Kyle "Scrub Killa" Robertson are currently ranked in second position in the European RLCS Standings after recently taking home the second Regional Event of the season.
B0ston now joins one of the most established Rocket League organisations in the world, with one World Championships to their name and two European titles.
