The art of healthy competition can only be good for fans and players alike, as the two publishing giants, EA and Activision, look set to lock horns in the realms of FPS shooters.

With the development of Battlefield VI underway and flourishing by all reports, EA is once again using their expertise in game engines software and gigantic outreach to attract gun-game fans to their latest instalment. Undoubtedly using market research from previous Battlefield games, their other battle royale in Apex Legends, and competitor research on Call of Duty: Warzone, EA will rival the latter to unseat the genre kings that are Activision, just as they did to Epic Games' Fortnite.

One of the gaming universes more echoing voices in Herschel "Guy" Beahm IV, aka Dr Disrespect, has implied that the introduction of Battlefield VI will not only offer a new and stellar alternative to Warzone but will also give Activision a kick in the backside to release more captivating content.

Speaking to fans in his latest YouTube stream, Doc said “I just feel like… EA’s gotta be working on some awesome battle royale experience with the Battlefield IP. It’s just a no-brainer at this point,” before adding "EA and Activision have always gone back and forth competing directly in the FPS genre".

The clip starts at the 1:42:23 mark.

He continued to applaud EA and the development of Battlefield by stating "I’m excited because their engine, with all the tools and tech they have in place… they could do something pretty incredible if they put everything into it.”

Battlefield has yet to reveal plans for an actual battle royale, however, the title has been revealed to support 128 players, indicating much larger battle are not out of reach for EA.
