Elden Ring was one of the biggest games of 2022, but it's still hard to believe it's been almost a year since we stepped foot in the Lands Between and were absolutely wrecked by the Tree Sentinel.

The massive action RPG launched on February 24, meaning at the time of writing, we're just weeks away from it turning one – and Bandai Namco hasn't forgotten about the award-winning juggernaut's anniversary.

Bandai Namco Reveals Elden Ring Anniversary Celebration

On February 25th, Bandai Namco is holding an event at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere in Stockholm, with an accompanying live stream. The tweet promises all kinds of fun stuff, including a quiz, giveaways, and PvP, but there’s one thing missing – the long-fabled Elden Ring DLC.

Naturally, the game's community has started to speculate that the event would be the ideal time to reveal a DLC, with a Reddit thread sharing the tweet and the title "Possible DLC news?" Hitting 5.1k upvotes already.

And yet, despite balance tweaks, economy updates, and the new Colosseum mode, there's been nothing yet from FromSoft.

What's Next For FromSoftware?

While the studio is currently at work on Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon (expected to launch this year), many of its Soulsborne games have received DLC in the past.

Dark Souls had Artorias of the Abyss, Dark Souls 2 added The Lost Crowns, Bloodborne received The Old Hunters, and Dark Souls III received two expansions.

That's led many to expect an Elden Ring DLC to be revealed soon, but it's not a guarantee. Remember, there was no additional content released for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, for example.

It's true that most FromSoft games have had a DLC by this point in their life cycle, but then again, Elden Ring is your standard game from the developer.

Whatever happens, we'll be sure to keep you updated here at GGRecon. In the meantime, be sure to check out our Elden Ring guides.
