Elden Ring has officially been delayed, with an announcement from the team behind the game being shared on the official Twitter account.

Elden Ring Delay

In a statement, they wrote: "Important message: ELDEN RING will release on Feb 25, 2022, as the depth & strategic freedom of the game exceeded initial expectations. Thank you for your trust & patience. We look forward to seeing you experience the game in the Closed Network Test in Nov. The #ELDENRING Team."

The game was originally supposed to be coming out on January 21, 2022, so this means that we have to wait one more month.

This latest pushback now means that the game will be released on the same day as Saints Row, and exactly a week after Horizon Forbidden West. Even more annoying, it's three days after Destiny's DLC too.

Fans were quick to comment underneath the Tweet, saying: "I mean you guys take your time but 3 days after destiny’s dlc".

Another added: "Take your time, this game will be amazing. That being said I Wish it wasn't releasing so close to HFW."
