Fortnite isn’t just a game for us normal folk. Tonnes of famous celebrities from all kinds of industries have hopped on the Fortnite craze.

Fortnite is widely accessible and has grown a reputation as one of the most welcoming games in the industry. People that have otherwise never touched controllers in their life have played Fortnite due to its mainstream acceptance. Due to this, iconic personalities from all sorts of different industries have come out of the woodwork as Fortnite players. 

Each of these stars has a story behind their union with the game of Fortnite. Let’s find out which famous celebrities are Fortnite players on the side.

Does Drake Play Fortnite?

By now, most gamers probably know the story behind Drake and Fortnite’s relationship. Back in 2018, Drake teamed up with Tyler “Ninja” Blevins to break the record for most concurrent viewers on an individual’s stream with over 600,000.  

This event broke the internet. The Drake/Ninja collab brought Fortnite and gaming as a whole into the mainstream. Drake made Fortnite “cool”.

This wasn’t just a one-time thing for Drake either. Drake admitted on stream that he had been playing Fortnite for a few months and actually watches Ninja’s streams regularly.

Drake’s a true Fortnite fan, so it’s appropriate that his signature song and dance, Hotline Bling, was added to the game as an emote.

Patrick Mahomes

National Football League (NFL) Reigning Super Bowl MVP, Patrick Mahomes, is known to play Fortnite from time to time.

Fortnite partnered with the NFL to release NFL-themed skins. Fortnite players can represent their favourite team with the number of their choice. Obviously, a lot of players choose to cosplay as the superstar quarterback.

One day when Mahomes was playing Fortnite, a player wearing his team’s uniform WITH his personal number on the jersey eliminated him. Mahomes proceeded to tweet out, “yesterday I played Fortnite for the first time in a while, and someone killed me with my jersey on.. don’t know how I feel about it…”

Does Dele Alli Play Fortnite?

Rising football star Dele Alli’s colourful personality shows both on and off the field. Dele Alli has gone viral on more than one occasion with his ridiculous Fortnite-themed goal celebrations.

In Alli’s spare time, he streams Fortnite — and he’s not half bad! Dele Alli has built a following on Twitch of more than 125,000 followers.

Finn Wolfhard

Finn Wolfhard, star of hit TV show Stranger Things and Stephen King’s IT, dabbles in some Fortnite every now and then. 

Wolfhard and his brother created a Twitch channel for streaming games. The two often go live together with Fortnite as their game of choice. The duo’s Twitch channel has over 80,000 followers.

Jordyn Jones

Jordyn Jones is an actress, singer, model, and gamer. Jones is known for her appearances at the MTV Video Music Awards and on Dancing With The Stars. Jones’s passion for Fortnite became known when it was announced that she would be participating in the Fortnite Pro-Am tournament at E3.

Jordyn Jones received backlash on social media by haters that assumed she wasn’t a real Fortnite fan and didn’t deserve a spot in the Pro-Am. In response, Jones tweeted that she has been playing Fortnite since Season 2.

Since then, Jones has gone more public with her love for the game, streaming her gameplay on Instagram and Twitch on occasion.

Does Travis Scott Play Fortnite?

Famed Hip Hop artist Travis Scott — aka Cactus Jack — made his first public appearance in Fortnite as a member of the Drake and Ninja squad. Scott teamed up with the legendary duo as they streamed in front of hundreds of thousands.

This jump-started Scott’s love for Fortnite as he went on to collaborate with the game in a major way. Fortnite and Travis Scott put on the Astronomical event, a live concert event held within the game of Fortnite. The concert was a serious success, receiving rave reviews for its insane visuals.

Fortnite x Travis Scott did not stop there. Travis Scott has his own Fortnite skin. Players can dress up as Travis Scott — topped off with a slew of styles and other cosmetics.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's talents on the football pitch are no mystery. Ibrahimovic is one of the most decorated footballers of all time.

A lesser-known fact about Ibrahimovic is that he’s a gamer. Ibrahimovic picks up the controller whenever he has a chance, often playing live with his brother on Twitch. Usually, Ibrahimovic’s game of choice is Fortnite.

Joe Jonas isn’t a mere casual either. Joe has participated in Twitch Rivals and played with Nick Eh 30 and Ninja. How he manages to find time to play Fortnite while also being a singer, songwriter, and actor - we don’t know.

Like many of these celebrities, Fortnite is a name known all over the world. People from all around the planet of all different cultures, religions, and socioeconomic statuses play the genre-defying game.
