It's all change over on the Fortnite map, as fresh leaks claim a brand-new vehicle is on the way to overtake the game. In the past, we've seen imaginative vehicles like Biplanes, Ballers, and Mechs make their mark, but this could be the first time we see tanks.

We've only just scratched the surface of what's on the way in Fortnite Chapter 3, but with an inevitable Season 2 on the way, we're already itching to find out what's just around the corner. Alongside the rumoured return of Tilted Towers and tornadoes to blow the competition away, tanks would change the way we move around the map.

What's The Fortnite Tank Leak?

Noted Fortnite leaker HYPEX shared a video from Tabor Time, that claims vehicles with mounted turrets could be rolling into the game. HYPEX says tanks (well, that's what we're calling them) could arrive either at the end of Season 1 or Season 2 - we hope it's the former.

Elsewhere, we're apparently going to war with the IO. The arrival of Doctor Slone in Chapter 2 Season 7 catapulted the story forward, with players having to deal with both an alien menace and the IO. These days, the IO are confined to caverns beneath the map and are currently using drillers to try and reach the surface.

When Will We Know More About Fortnite Tanks?

It's clear the IO and Slone are crucial to the story moving forward. With Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson due to muscle his way onto the map as The Foundation, we guess he'll be crossing paths with the IO in a big way. If all of the above is to be believed, we could be with tanks for a while.

Taking everything with a pinch of salt, remember that we've heard about tank-like vehicles a lot over the years - without them ever actually arriving. If you've been a Fortnite fan for a while, you'll recall there was talk about Ballers, Hoverboards, and Golf Carts making a return in Chapter 2 Season 5.

Also, there was the divisive nature of mechs and accusations those battling bots were OP. Then again, is there much of a difference between tanks and missile-firing motorboats? We've seen vehicles take a massive leap since the Joy Ride update, and whether tanks are legit or not, we're sure more vehicles are on the way soon.
