Halo Infinite Leakers Claim Multiplayer Is Coming On November 15
Halo: Infinite is around the corner, and this year it looks like we might actually get it, with recent showings looking like it's shaping up to be a solid experience. There are even reports that the multiplayer component is going to be available a little earlier, as leakers are telling people to watch out for November 15.
What Are Leakers Saying About Halo: Infinite Multiplayer?
After its terrible showing last year that caused it to be delayed and more rumours of a 2022 delay, Halo: Infinite is starting to ramp up the promotion for the December 8 release date. They gave us a solid campaign highlight recently, the multiplayer beta received lots of praise, and they're even making this the most comprehensive PC port of a Halo game yet. Surprisingly, we may get the game a little earlier, or at least parts of it, as multiple leakers are reporting that the multiplayer will shadow drop soon.
Many of these reports are coming from Twitter, where Halo leaker @halodotapi claimed that the multiplayer will release on November 15. They posted a promo photo of the multiplayer, captioning it with "Heroes of Reach - November 15, 2021 #HaloInfinite." They also seem extremely confident in their declaration, following it up with "If I'm wrong I'm giving away $100 to a random follower."
Another Halo leaker who is backing up these details goes by the name of @Surasia4, who cryptically replied to a Twitter user that Tweeted: "Thank goodness Halo isn't releasing this month," with "Well…" Later, the other user replied that they thought it was unlikely, to which Surasia responded with "you'll see."
Will Halo Infinite Multiplayer Drop On November 15?
Well, it's certainly a surprise that's come out of nowhere, but it's not totally unlikely. November 15 is actually quite a significant date for the Halo series, as Halo: Combat Evolved released on that date, exactly twenty years ago. It would be a good way to celebrate twenty years of Halo and Xbox, by suddenly releasing the multiplayer for the platform's biggest series.
Shadow dropping Apex: Legends in 2019 also worked wonders for EA, as the game dominated the gaming conversation on the internet. For those who are unaware, shadow dropping refers to releasing a game by surprise, with no announcement or promotional material. It's a bold move, but evidently it can work, and Halo is big enough for it to work.
If these rumours are false, then the multiplayer component will be releasing with the campaign on December 8, for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and select PC storefronts.
