2022 has suffered so far, as games have been facing monumental delays so far. Sadly, another AAA release has been struck by one.

Bethesda's galaxy-hopping masterpiece Starfield, Marvel's bold return in Midnight Suns, the cinematic Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - few games have survived the year, and the slate of 2022 has well and truly thinned.

It's incredibly bleak for this year - even though we got Elden Ring, which is critically speaking one of the best games we've had in a decade - and we've lost so much that 2022 truly feels dead.

But it's alright, because at least we have Hogwarts Legacy. We still have Hogwarts Legacy, right?

Hogwarts Legacy Is Officially Delayed To 2023

It has just been confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy has been delayed to next year. The announcement was made by Avalanche Studios via the official Hogwarts Legacy Twitter account, revealing that the game will be officially released on February 10 2023.

This is a change to the prospective Holiday release window, that was recently rumoured to fall on December 6. The game will be coming to PlayStation, Xbox and PC on this date, and will be seeing a release on the Nintendo Switch later on.

"The team is excited for you to play, but we need a little more time to deliver the best possible game experience," reads the tweet.

This news is going to come as a disappointment to many, and it's yet another huge hit to the release slate of 2022.
