Having become one of the best players to ever touch Apex Legends, Timmy "iiTzTimmy" stunned the world by going from Bronze to Predator in one consecutive stream lasting 54 hours with no sleep. The incredible feat saw him recognised as one of the boldest players on the game, and now he's set his sights on conquering VALORANT's ranked queue in a similar fashion.

Why Did iTzTimmy Get Banned From VALORANT?

Timmy embarked on yet another marathon to fly through VALORANT's ranks, starting in Iron and hoping to end in Radiant without nodding off for some well-needed Z's. However, 25 hours into the stream and Riot Games handed him the ultimate stumbling block - banning Timmy for using a smurf account.

Having already pushed himself to a high rank on his normal account, Timmy opted to use an alt for his road to Radiant, which breaks Riot's terms of services regarding the use of Smurfs. Talking on stream, Timmy admitted that he was aware of the rules, but was told by his agency that the ban wouldn't come into play until his marathon had concluded.

At the time of the ban, 25 hours in, Timmy had reached Immortal 1, leaving him just a few more ranks to grind through to reach the upper echelon of VALORANT's player base.

What Has iiTzTimmy Said About The VALORANT Ban?

Speaking on stream, he said: "I'm speaking to my agency because they said I shouldn't get banned until the marathon is over, so it's pretty weird. I got banned for smurfing, unfortunately."

iiTzTimmy's alternate account has now been unbanned by Riot Games, although a developer has insisted that the account will be banned again when he reaches Immortal.

At the time of writing, his solo climb is 32 hours deep, having now earned Immortal 2, just two ranks away from VALORANT's elite status.

Smurfing in VALORANT is one of Riot's biggest issues, and many fans have been openly critical of iiTzTimmy being unbanned. One user on Twitter commented, "should've kept him banned. Just shows riot really doesn't care about smurfs," whilst another added, "I hate Smurfs with a passion. They ruin games. One player who is either trying to speed run a high rank by s***ting on bad players. Or a good player turbo-ing to play with lower players. Either way, it feels s**t to play with or against."

Should iiTzTimmy reach Radiant, he'll be the first player to do it in one sitting, which is a rather remarkable achievement considering his mid-stream troubles.
