NFL Stars Thank Call Of Duty For Super Bowl Success
Ahead of a colossal Super Bowl clash on February 12, Kansas City Chiefs stars have devoted much of their success to playing Call of Duty together.
In search of their second Super Bowl title in four years, after a 50-year drought spanning back to 1969, the Chiefs are set to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a bit to be crowned NFL 2023 champions.
But with Quarterback Patrick Mahomes, wide receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and tight end Travis Kelce spearheading their attack, it appears that their on-song ensemble of touchdowns is down to squadding on CoD.
Kansas City Chiefs Attacking Prowess Are Avid Warzone Players
Together, the four have been dropping into Warzone 2 together, working around Al Mazrah in a synchronised fashion, using their communication skills to outwit their enemies and become the last team standing.
"I put in a lot of Call of Duty hours with Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and MVS, baby. A lot of COD hours. We're dropping down, the communication's on point," Smith-Schuster told CBS.
The quartet seems to be firing on all cylinders going into their Super Bowl bout, and if their Warzone gameplay is anything like that in the NFL, you better hope not to run across them in your next drop.
Gaming Superstars Will Clash In NFL Super Bowl
Smith-Schuster is quite the advocate of gaming too, having been a former member of FaZe Clan and now founder of Team Diverge.
But the Kansas City Chiefs team aren't the only players in the league to love a good gaming session. Awaiting the chance to shut down the Warzone gurus will be Philadelphia Eagle's Boston Scott, who doubles as a professional Rocket League player and substitute for Dignitas.
The lines between gaming and mainstream sports continue to overlap, and the heavyweights of the NFL will clash both on and off the field.
If only Kyler Murray could find a squad like the Chiefs', he might not get into as much trouble during double XP weekends...
