The Pokemon franchise is a veritable money mill, and a lot of that is thanks to its powerhouse merchandising. Following the successes of the games and anime series, Pokemon has been able to stretch from one or two plushies to whole stores of merchandise over the years.

An increasing number of Pokemon Centers have become a church for nerds who want to spend extortionate sums on a t-shirt because it's got a picture of Gengar on it. And the hardest thing about it is, as absurd as it sounds, we can't blame them.

Plushies are the biggest factor in Pokemon's merchandising empire, and now, it looks like they're about to take a big step into the unknown.

Pokemon Is Teasing A Giant Wailord Plush

For anyone who has played a Pokemon game and encountered a Wailord, they know one thing - that they're huge. The giant whale Pokemon is one of the biggest in the entire world, almost to a comical degree, and the meme of their sheer size is one that is consistent in fan circles.

It makes sense that Pokemon is capitalising on it, with what could be its biggest plushie ever.  A new video posted to the Pokemon Twitter account warns that something is coming "soon."

We see a 15-second clip that's a close-up frame of a plush Wailord, with watery light reflections bouncing from its face.

Fans reckon that there's no way The Pokemon Company would tease a plush like this if it wasn't massive, and given that Wailord plushes already exist, they must be going big with this one.

We're rightly expecting the biggest official plush that the company has ever produced with this Wailord, and if it isn't, it would be doing a disservice to the water-bound titan that is.

Where Can I Get The Giant Wailord Plush?

We don't have any details on the Wailord plush just yet, but we're expecting that the goliath will debut in Pokemon Centers, as well as possibly make it online too. Still, it'd be one hell of an expectation to hope that The Pokemon Company has the means to send out such a massive package.

That does mean it's probably going to be a difficult purchase for those who are overseas (we dread to think of the customs charge), but we can manage with admiring from afar. As for the price, a hidden reply to the treat says $500. We wouldn't be surprised, but either way, this is going to be glorious.
