Fans of The Witcher's Netflix series are a little concerned right now. Recasting a lead role in any series or movie is a pretty big deal by itself, but to replace Henry Cavill as Geralt himself is sacrilegious.

The ex-Superman proved he was more than equipped to bring The Witcher to life, and now that Liam Hemsworth has agreed to step into his boots, fans are… unsure. It's a lot to process, and it's a big deal.

Though the Blood Origin prequel series was a critical nightmare despite the incredible Michelle Yeoh heading up the show, Netflix is working full steam ahead on a new prequel - and it's finally confirmed some new details about what to expect.

We finally have details on what we can expect from the Netflix series based on the story's young group of criminals, the Rats. While the Witcherverse is in a state of flux right now, the series certainly sounds fascinating.

Scooper Daniel Richtman revealed (via Redanian Intelligence) Netflix's new longline for the series via his Patreon page, and has revealed that the series' working title is Riff Raff. Filming is expected to take place in South Africa from April to September, with an expected episode order of either six or eight.

"Six teenage thieves must rely on their criminal skills as they plan the biggest heist of their careers against the most dangerous crime ring in the kingdom," reads the longline. It's not a lot to go on, but it gives us a peek into what could be in store for us in Riff Raff.

Who Is Starring In The Witcher's Riff Raff?

On top of this narrative information, we know a few of the cast members who will make up The Rats. The show will star Christelle Elwin as Mistle, Fabian McCallum as Kayleigh, Aggy K. Adams as Iskra and Juliette Alexandra as Reef, with the cast members playing Asse and Giselher still being kept under wraps.

The above will all appear in the final two episodes of the upcoming The Witcher Season 3, which promises to give Cavill a heroic sendoff. Hopefully, The Rats can stick a little closer to the source material

It's certainly interesting to discover what's happening behind the scenes of the show, and frankly, it's even more interesting that Netflix still powering ahead with churning out prequels and spin-offs. Blood Origin who?
