Having seen just one female streamer come in the top 50 of the most-watched Twitch channels in July, Tyler "Trainwrecks" Niknam believes Imane "Pokimane" Anys could be within the top 10, if only she streamed more often.

Throughout the month of July, only Kaitlyn "Amouranth" Siragusa found herself in the top 50 Twitch channels, in terms of total hours watched, with the popular ASMR streamer racking in an impressive total of 3.81 million hours viewed on the Just Chatting category (according to Streamcharts).

Despite being one of the most well-known streamers in the world, Pokimane found herself outside of the overall top 50, albeit coming in as the fourth most viewed woman.

With cause for concern about the ratio of representation in the top 50, Trainwrecks has now identified an underlying issue, and has claimed Pokimane could easily be a top-ten streamer if she matched Amouranth's output.

Trainwrecks said: "Pokimane streamed 76 hours last month, and we're talking about how she's not in the top ten on the platform,

"It's because of the 76 hours. If she streamed for 380 hours [a month] she'd be in the top ten with me, "xQc", "Asmongold" and the other f***ing seven."

In comparison to Amouranth, who streamed a total of 321 hours in July and averaged 11,800 concurrent viewers, Pokimane could have doubled her hours watched total with the same output.

Having peaked at 71,000, and averaged 24,000 throughout the month, with the same hours put in, Poki would have amassed a whopping 7.7 million hours watched - which would put her as the fifth most viewed influencer on the platform, above Trainwrecks.

However, Trainwrecks did defend her hours on stream, admitting that it is so much harder for females to amass these hours with the type of feedback they receive.

Speaking on the ScuffedPod podcast, fellow streamer "ChloeLock" also defended the number of hours Poki posted, saying "Sometimes I get absolutely sick of it [online trolling] and I just want to end my stream. Some days it's really bad".

Also omitted from the stats is the YouTube phenomenon Rachel "Valkyrae" Hofstetter, whose streams don't show on these charts.

Trainwrecks did end the segment by urging people to take the stats with a pinch of salt, reiterating that it's important to get all of the data before opening any criticism and voicing concerns.
