TSM FTX Has Officially Entered Dota 2
TSM FTX (formerly known as Team SoloMid) has become a household name in the League of Legends sphere throughout a decade-long tenure at the top of the North American LCS. The MOBA stalwarts became the first team to successfully qualify for the first seven World Championships and to make ten LCS Finals in their long and successful endeavour in the genre, and they are now officially spreading their wings into yet another like-minded field. TSM FTX is joining Dota 2.
After years of being prompted to join Dota 2, TSM FTX has now signed an international roster that are set to continue competing in the North American regional leagues after a solid 2021 campaign.
TSM Sign Dota 2 Roster From Team Undying
The organisation, which also have teams in Super Smash Bros., Rainbow Six: Seige, Fortnite, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG), Apex Legends, and VALORANT, revealed their brand-new Dota 2 roster on January 25.
The roster consists of Enzo "Timado" Gianoli, Jonathan "Bryle" De Guia, Jonas "SabeRLight" Volek, David "MoonMeander" Tan Boon Yang, and DooYoung "DuBu" Kim, compiled of three regions and over 20 years of experience.
Who Is TSM's Dota 2 Roster?
The new TSM Dota 2 roster competed together under the Team Undying banner since January 2021, where they rivalled the top teams in North America under the guidance of Veteran duo MoonMeander and DuBu.
As one of the more successful sides in NA, the roster has stuck by each other in the transfer period, after securing a whopping $600,000 prize by finishing in the top 16 at The International 10 - esports' most expensive event ever.
The new TSM Dota 2 roster also won a range of BTS Pro Series events and secured third place in both splits of the Dota Pro Circuit.
Now, they will operate under the TSM banner for the first time in February, as the Pro Circuit qualifiers for the 2022 season kick off. Maybe, with a new home, they'll be able to replicate some of the success of the legendary TSM LoL sides of old.
