It’s growing more and more typical for the highest-level streamers to hate the very things that made them popular. It’s no secret that Dr Disrespect has his long list of gripes with Warzone (and Call of Duty at large, for that matter), while Michael "Shroud" Grzesiek has troubles connecting with CS:GO at this stage - and this very same bug has infected Felix "xQc" Lengyel.

Lengyel hardly touches Overwatch these days - the game that gave him the chance to go pro and take on streaming with an established audience. And now, he’s taking aim at the upcoming Call of Duty title too. Well, it was only a matter of time.

What are xQc’s Gripes With Call Of Duty: Vanguard?

Joining the Vanguard beta as many others have, xQc has gotten his hands on Sledgehammer's next Call of Duty title, and he’s found some problems with it. According to him, the game’s time to kill (TTK) isn’t quite up to his expectations.

"Compared to other Call of Duty games, [players] are so f**king tanky. It’s so busted. The TTK is dog", he says on stream. "It’s gonna be just left-click the whole time. Just hold down the f**king trigger, man. It’s f**king bulls**t." He seems upset.

This isn’t actually a controversial opinion either - many players are disappointed by the high ceiling when it comes to TTK, suggesting that players take far too much firepower before finally hitting the deck. But, thankfully, this might not stay the same for long.

Vanguard Could Still Alter Its TTK

Vanguard still being in its beta form is a good thing, so that problems like this have time to be fixed before the title’s launch. Changing Vanguard’s entire TTK would require some hefty re-balancing across the board, but the fact that the outcry over the problem is pretty widespread, it’s likely it will see some change before the game’s launch.

If Sledgehammer is willing to rejig TTK, the annoyed players will just be directed to hardcore playlists. Either way, it’s clear that xQc is unimpressed so far - fingers crossed his problems with CoD 2021 will be cleared up before launch.
