Riot Games ramped up the content in their latest update, sending everyone off to the sunny shores of Breeze. The new map has come as one of the more advanced designs of its kind, allowing for a more intricate playstyle that has cohesion at the forefront.

With teamwork proving prevalent, Riot has now introduced a brand-new game mode that will have your team united as one, literally.

Here's everything you need to know about VALORANT's new game mode, Replication.

VALORANT Replication: Game Style

The game mode will throw away the usual team composition of one hero each. Instead, as a group of five, you will vote for which agent you will all play as. The agent with the most votes will be the one who all five players will use, thus meaning you will all play as the same agent.

The other team will also do the same, although their votes will be separate to your own.

Both teams can play as the same agent too.

Once the selection process is complete, teams will play in a' best of nine' Spike game mode with 80-second rounds.

VALORANT Replication: Rules

The BO9 Replication game mode will give every player equal opportunity. All agent abilities, minus ultimates, are refreshed each round, giving each player the same amount of tactical and passive abilities.

All players will also have a common amount of pre-round credits, making each round equal. Neither team is given an advantage dependant on momentum.

With the game set into two sets of four (attack vs defence) the pre-round credits are as follows:

  • Round 1 - 900
  • Round 2 - 2,400
  • Round 3 - 3,900
  • Round 4 - 6,000

The tiebreaker round will also be played on 6,000 credits.

Weapons and shields are also reset at the beginning of each round.

VALORANT Replication: Flashguard

Five agents all with the abilities to throw flashes is enough to send an enemy crazy. To avoid the game becoming who can toss the best flash, rather than working together to hone in on abilities, Replication will include new protection named Flashguard.

Flashguard is a form of protection from being flashed multiple times. Should a player get flashed twice within a four-second window, Flashguard will come into play for five seconds, making you immune. This should ensure that players won't be having to wear Ray-Bans whilst invading A on Haven.

How Long Will VALORANT Replication Be Available?

Starting from today (May 11), the Replication will be available as a limited-time game mode for two weeks.

Becoming a meddlesome fivesome of Raze's will only be available until May 25. After that, Riot Games have confirmed that new game modes will follow.

Make sure to have your comms on point, as this game mode is about to get pretty trippy.
