When Will PUBG Team Deathmatch and Update 6.2 be Released Into Live Servers?
Long-time fans of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds have been waiting for this announcement since shortly after the game’s release. Announced by PUBG, the upcoming 6.2 update will include the arrival of Team Deathmatch. This is the classic respawn-enabled moshpit that was popularized by games like Halo and Call of Duty. However, there’s no scheduled release date, but we can estimate when the update will go live.
Details on Team Deathmatch in PUBG
Of course, this mode won’t be exactly like the traditional Team Deathmatch we see in Call of Duty today. PUBG is going to put their own spin on it like they originally did with the battle royale portion of the game.
This version of Team Deathmatch is going to feature 8v8 play on seven different maps pulled from various battle royale settings. The mode will only be playable in first-person and of course, allow you to respawn if you die. The respawn timer is set at five seconds after death and you spawn wherever your team is positioned on the map at that time.
Each game goes to 50 points, or 10 minutes, whichever one comes first. Also, before each match, players will select a specific Spawn Kit, which contains different kinds of weapons and equipment. It’s similar to the create-a-class system from Call of Duty, but features predetermined loadouts. If a player wants to switch Spawn Kits in the middle of a match, they can do so after they die.
In regards to the maps you’ll be playing on, here’s the list provided by PUBG:
ERANGEL – Stalber, Sosnovka Military Base
SANHOK – Paradise Resort, Docks
VIKENDI – Podvosto, Peshkova
MIRAMAR – Campo Militar
So, each of these battle royale areas will act as a Team Deathmatch map.
