Microsoft's redemption in the eyes of gamers over the past few years has been a sight to see. Under Phil Spencer's leadership, they've started to focus more on PC gaming, developed the incredible Games Pass, put more effort into first-party titles, and even acquired a whole family of studios. Now, before Santa has even woken up this year, they're sending gamers early Christmas presents.

What Gifts Have Microsoft Been Sending?

Wario64, a gaming deal curator, pointed out Microsoft's gifts in a Tweet, stating: "Check your emails: Microsoft Store is sending emails to random users with to $100 gift card." It's basically what it says on the tin. If you have a Microsoft account, make sure to check your emails this week and leading up to Christmas in case you get sent a $100 gift card.

It can be used on the Microsoft Store only, but there's a decent selection of products on the storefront, from tonnes of Xbox games to hardware like the Microsoft Surface. We're unsure how much money players in other territories can claim at the moment, and if the deal is exclusive to American users.

If you aren't one of the lucky gamers to get a gift card, then you can still use one of the great deals for the Xbox Games Pass.

What Is Going On With Games Pass?

Microsoft is still offering the £1 for three months starter deal, which gives you access to a plethora of games for a quarter of the year - all for the same price as a McDonald's cheeseburger.

Another deal that has just been offered concerns another subscription service called Discord Nitro. Nitro users can get two free months of Games Pass Ultimate, which gives them access to over 100 games, on their platform of choice. The deal also runs long past Christmas, so Nitro users have until April 26, 2022 to claim the free two months.

The Game Pass Ultimate service has also added trials for Crunchyroll premium and Disney+ this year, meaning users will have a wealth of content across multiple mediums with their subscription.

Brand-new Xbox titles like Forza Horizon 5 are also available on Games Pass, and the upcoming Halo: Infinite is set to be on the service day one. You can also check out our review for Forza Horizon 5 here.
