We've already got a 'new hope' that 2022 will be better than 2021, and it's over to Amazon to get the ball rolling thanks to a fantastic January giveaway. This time, we can hear the swoosh of Cal Kestis' lightsaber as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is being given away for free.

There have been some great (and not-so-great) Star Wars games over the year, but up there with Star Wars: Knights of the Old RepublicFallen Order is held by many as the best entry to grace that galaxy far, far away.

We've had three years to enjoy Respawn Entertainment's record-breaking Sith slayer, but if you haven't jumped into this war-torn world or just want to boop around with BD-1 again, Amazon is letting you do it for free.

How Can You Download Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order For Free?

Amazon is giving away Fallen Order... for absolutely nothing. The obvious caveat is that you need to have an active Amazon Prime account, but given that a lot of us used them for those last-minute Christmas orders, many of us already do.

Jump in your X-wing and fly over to Amazon Prime Gaming, where you can download Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order until February 2. Although Fallen Order is currently on sale at Amazon, that's nothing compared to being completely free.

Alongside Fallen Order, there are eight more titles on offer. If you're interested, here's what you can nab:

  • Total War: Warhammer Epic Games Store until February 1
  • World War Z: Aftermath Epic Games Store until February 7
  • Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered Amazon Games App until February 1
  • WRC 7 FIA World Rally Championship Amazon Games App until February 1
  • Abandon Ship Amazon Games App until February 1
  • Paper Beast: Folded Edition Amazon Games App until February 1
  • In Other Waters Amazon Games App until February 1
  • Two Point Hospital Amazon Games App until February 1

Are We Getting A Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Sequel?

The cliffhanger ending of Fallen Order neatly set itself up for a sequel. Although we're left frozen in carbonite and waiting to see where the crew of the Stinger Mantis head next, we can't wait to see Kal and Cere back in action as a certain heavy-breathing monster chases them across the galaxy. Still, Respawn has gone quiet on the Fallen Order 2 front.

It's not even that we need to give Fallen Order away for free to drum up interest in a sequel. There are frequent calls for Cameron Monaghan to reprise his role in the ever-expanding world of shows and movies, but we'll have to wait and see. As Respawn plans its own rebel assault on the sequel, let's get back to playing Fallen Order. To quote Din Djarin, "This is the way!".
