Aliens Dark Descent: Release Date, Trailers, Gameplay, And More

The Alien franchise has seen many different adaptions over the years, but Aliens Dark Descent is the latest to be revealed to gamers across the world. We first got news of Aliens Dark Descent at Summer Game Fest 2022, where it had a lengthy CGI trailer before giving us a flash of gameplay. It seems like it will be a more action focused title, similar to Aliens: Fireteam Elite but with a top-down perspective reminiscent of the Alien Breed series. Aliens Dark Descent Release Date 

All we currently know about Aliens Dark Descent release-wise, is that will come sometime in 2023. With not a lot of gameplay to go off yet, it seems like it could be later in the year. 

Aliens Dark Descent Trailers

The reveal trailer came at Summer Game Fest 2022, showing mostly CGI scenes of the iconic marines fighting Xenomorphs while falling back as they become overwhelmed. Before we see the Xenomorphs though, there's a glimpse of a new alien or robot enemy that they seem to ignore, suggesting that there's more to the story this time than Xenomorphs overrunning a facility. 

Aliens Dark Descent Gameplay

At the end of the reveal trailer, there was a split second of gameplay that showcases a top-down perspective of the marines mowing down aliens, with seemingly different classes or soldiers. It seems like it will use a twin-stick shooter control scheme to keep the intensity of running from hordes of Xenomorphs.

The game is set to come to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
