Is Apex Legends Crossplay?

Apex Legends is immensely popular, but did you know that it has crossplay? We've all been in that situation where you want to play an online game with a friend, but they play on a different platform than you. It used to be that PlayStation and Xbox gamers were held at arm's length from each other. However, more and more online games are starting to support crossplay functionality. This means that players can play together, no matter which platform they play on. Here's how to enable crossplay in Apex Legends.

First up, you'll need to enable crossplay in the Apex Legends settings menu:

1. Go to the Friends menu.
2. Click Find Friend.
3. Type in their EA Public ID.
4. To make it easier for your friends to find you, enable 'Email Address', 'PSN Online ID', 'Xbox Live Gamertag', and 'Nintendo Nickname' in the 'Allow users to search for me by' menu

Once this setup is complete, you should now be able to group up with players from other platforms.

Does Apex Legends Have Cross Progression?

While Apex Legends does support crossplay, it sadly doesn't support cross-progression. That means if you login to your EA account from a PlayStation or a PC, your progression will not carry over between the two. If you unlock items in the Battle Pass on the PlayStation, then you won't be able to use them on your PC account.

For this reason, you should be careful about which account you purchase microtransactions from. There's nothing worse than buying the Battle Pass for a game account that isn't your main.
