For years, the level cap has been stagnant, but after all this time, a new Apex Legends level cap increase is on its way. Veteran Apex Legends players stuck at level 500 will have something to look forward to once more. Let's discuss what exactly the Apex Legends level cap is increasing to and what brand-new rewards will be available to earn as you climb the ladder.

The level cap will increase as soon as Apex Legends Season 14: Hunted kicks off on August 9, 2022, at 6pm BST.

Apex Legends New Level Cap: What Is It?

While not yet confirmed by Respawn Entertainment, all signs suggest that the Apex Legends level cap is getting bumped to 700. Reputable Apex Legends dataminer, SWL, discovered this information in the game files back in June.

When Apex Legends first launched, the level cap was a mere 100. Then, in December 2019, the level cap was raised to 500. Almost three years later, the Apex Legends level cap is finally getting 200 more levels tacked on.

Apex Packs

With more levels comes more rewards. Players frozen at the long-standing level cap of 500 finally have an opportunity to earn more free Apex Packs.

From levels 305 to 500, Apex players earn one pack every five levels. If this pattern of progression remains the same from levels 505 to 700, players can look forward to a total of 40 free Apex Packs for maxing out the new level cap. However, there's always a chance Respawn will adjust the cadence and make it even more difficult to earn Apex Packs while progressing through these bonus 200 levels.

Level Badges

Of course, levels 501 to 700 will feature brand-new Level Badges. Those with a sharp eye may have realized that Level Badges are themed after the game's many legends. For example, the Level Badges for levels 301-400 are fashioned after Bangalore, while levels 401 to 500 are Pathfinder-themed. The new Apex Legends Level Badges for levels 501 to 700 are Octane and Lifeline-inspired.

Level Gun Charms

To pair with your new Level Badges, look out for more Level Gun Charms at levels 600 and 700. Rock these Level Badge Gun Charms around the Apex Games to flex your newly earned levels.

With this information, you should be fully prepared to rise up the ranks in Apex Legends once again. Starting August 9, 2022, at 6pm BST with Apex Legends Season 14: Hunted, the level cap will increase to 700.

Not everyone's pleased with the Apex Legends level cap increase.
