As of September 22, there is no Cyberpunk 2077 new game plus mode, but the developers have confirmed that it's actively being worked on. It's been the most requested feature by fans since the game's launch, but many major updates have come and gone without its addition. The latest update was 1.6, which dropped on September 6 to tie in with the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime, but fans were once again disappointed to see NG+ hadn't been added.

After the previous update, the Cyberpunk 2077 lead level designer responded to a fan on Twitter asking about why the mode is yet to be added, stating it's an "incredibly complex feature to make." He elaborated further, saying, "it's rebalancing the entire game (enemies, equipment, items) and tons of testing/tweaking; there's many skill checks in gameplay and dialogues, what happens here?" However, he did confirm they are "listening and investigating," so there's a chance that NG+ could see the light of the day in the future.

In the meantime though, there is a recently released mod for the game that's available on the Cyberpunk 2077 Nexus, called Pseudo New Game Plus. It's a fairly simple version of NG+, and it doesn't take into account the considerations that CD Projekt RED have about their potential implementation of the mode, with the author of the mod even admitting "this mod will slightly break balance and make you OP." But if you're desperate for a redo of the main story and play on PC, it's an option you have.

We'll make sure to update this guide once we get more concrete information about a new game plus mode.

That's all for our answer to the question, is there a Cyberpunk 2077 new game plus mode, and now you know the feature is being developed, but we have no idea when it will release.

We also have a breakdown of how Cyberpunk 2077 cross progression works, so you can move your saves to other platforms and carry on your journey.
