The Dead by Daylight Gatekeeper emblem rewards Killers for keeping those generators in a state of disrepair. Dead by Daylight is a competitive multiplayer game as much as a horror game, so gaining ranks and levelling up is part and parcel with the game. While being the Killer implies your job is to kill the Survivors, it would be more accurate to say your job is to make sure they don’t escape. Here is everything you need to know about the Dead by Daylight Gatekeeper emblem.

Ideally, the Gatekeeper emblem wants you, as the Killer, to keep the generators off and prevent the Survivors from escaping. Points are awarded to you once per minute, for the first nine minutes of the game. The number of points awarded is relative to how many generators are currently active. You get five points if five generators are unrepaired, four points if four are unrepaired, and so on.

If after nine minutes, the Survivors have not repaired a single generator, you will gain 45 points. In order to achieve the iridescent rank, you need to get at least 35 points. This isn’t a huge amount of wiggle room, even if the Survivors complete one generator early you will be cutting it close with a maximum of about 36 points. However, there is also a ten point bonus if the exit gates are closed at the end of the round.

The objective here is to win the game and win it decisively. You are only going to get the iridescent Gatekeeper emblem if you dominate the Survivors. That said, you can hardly count on the other team completely messing up everything. They are likely to get a generator or two completed in that time frame, so those extra ten points for keeping the gates closed are crucial.

If 35 points is the target, then we need to get at least 25 points from generators. This is achievable even if there are only three generators left unrepaired for the full nine minutes. Provided you keep up the pressure and prevent generators from being repaired, this should be totally doable. Be sure to damage any partially repaired generators to slow the Survivors down.

If you win the Trial, having sacrificed or killed all of the Survivors before they could open the gates, you will get your bonus ten points and chances are good that you will have that iridescent Gatekeeper emblem.

That is everything you need to know about the Dead by Daylight Gatekeeper emblem. For more on the game, check out our Dead by Daylight Evader guide.
