Since its introduction into Pokemon GO, Ditto can only be caught by encountering it whilst disguised as one of a particular group of Pokemon. This range of Pocket Monsters has changed as time has gone on. So, let's get into how to get the Transform Pokemon following the Ditto Pokemon GO update in January 2023.

Whilst navigating your local map in Pokemon GO, you can find a Ditto when it's disguised as one of the following Pokemon:

  • Bidoof
  • Dwebble
  • Ekans
  • Finneon
  • Gastly
  • Lillipup
  • Natu
  • Numel
  • Spinarak
  • Surskit
  • Swirlix

If Ditto is disguised as one of these Pokemon, it will revert back to its original form after being caught, before taking you to the stats screen. Whilst it would help if there was a way to tell which of the above Pokemon would be Ditto, the only distinction between the two is that its CP is typically lower.

Altogether, catching the smiling blob comes down to luck, still being the case since the Ditto Pokemon GO update for January 2023. Nevertheless, keep a look out for the above Pokemon and continue catching as many as you can until a Ditto is yours.

That's all you need to know on how to catch Ditto following the Ditto Pokemon GO January 2023 update.
