Dragon Ball: The Breakers is finally here. As much fun as each entry in the game adaptations of the classic fighting anime/manga is, The Breakers is mixing things up with a total genre shift into survival co-op, being all about you playing as regular non-superpowered humans trying to escape from the series' monstrous villains. Dragon Ball: The Breakers is out across all but current-gen systems; PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch; but can friends on different platforms play together? Let's get into whether Dragon Ball: The Breakers crossplay is supported!

Although an online multiplayer survival game across various systems, Dragon Ball: The Breakers does not support crossplay between different platforms, with no current plans to make it so. When asked in an interview with Siliconera, producer Ryosuke Hara confirmed "There is no plan to support cross-platform and cross-save at the moment."

Dragon Ball: The Breakers is only playable through online multiplayer with other players involved, so the fact crossplay co-op hasn't been enabled to better those pools of players is surprising. However, Hara's wording using "at the moment" is key here. As with many bonus features in new games, it can simply be a case of making sure the game is ready for the release date first - with added elements like crossplay taking a backseat until developers are sure everything else is stable. So, this is a definite case of "never say never" when it comes to Dragon Ball: The Breakers crossplay.

That's everything for now on Dragon Ball: The Breakers crossplay. If you're looking to try out any more new online multiplayer games, check out the massive Overwatch 2 - from seeing what's new compared to Overwatch 1, to all of the characters available to play old and new
