Dying Light 2 Co-Op: How To Play With Friends
Dying Light 2 co-op grants the possibility of transforming bashing in zombie brains into a bonding experience. The first Dying Light featured a fun, if somewhat aimless co-op, which would allow players to take to the post-apocalyptic streets of Harran to kill zombies and pull off some sick hardcore parkour. But how do you access the Dying Light 2 co-op? We've got all the answers in our guide to Dying Light 2 co-op including whether it's featured, how many players you can play with and more.

Dying Light 2 Co-Op: Is There Co-Op?
Dying Light co-op is an exciting premise, especially given the diverse enormity of its new setting, The City. But can we explore this epic landscape with a friend? Luckily the answer is yes. There is a full co-op experience for players, letting them play through the majority of the game together, but it's slightly different to the last outing.
Dying Light 2 Co-Op: How Many Players?
The first Dying Light featured four player co-op. Is this the same for Dying Light 2 co-op? Dying Light 2 co-op once again features four player co-op. However, unlike the previous game, one player will have to host the session, inviting players into their world.
This is due to the choice system imparted in Dying Light 2, which will unlock and miss out entire areas of the game - so each world could be different for each player. That could lead to a couple of spoilers if you jump into your mate's game and are exposed to an entire other area.

Dying Light 2 Co-Op: How To Unlock It?
Like the last game, the Dying Light 2 co-op will need to be unlocked, and isn't immediately available to players. You need to finish the prologue that leads you into the city of Villedor first, and once you can roam freely, you can then invite players. This will be after the Markers of Plague quest is over, and then you can have your buddies join in.
You also need to enable co-op in the menu before any friends can join. Firstly, open the pause menu and then navigate toward the online menu (F4 on PC, Back/Select on console), before selecting Online Options and changing from single player to cooperative. Return to the online menu, and you can then invite friends or join others.
It's also worth noting that whoever invites their friends is the host, and the status of the game is only saved with the host, meaning they have to host if you all want to continue the same campaign forward. Any quest progress will not be saved for the players who join, but you can carry over any equipment or experience into your own campaign.
That's everything you need to know about Dying Light 2 co-op. Got some buddies eager to kill zombies with you but are on another platform?
