Each new season in FIFA 22 brings a handful of new players that you can earn entirely passively through the Season Progress module, and at worst they can give you a good boost of fodder. FIFA 22 Season 8 Storyline Players Level 15
Click to enlargeThe first lot of FIFA 22 Season 8 Storyline players that you can get your hands on will require you to rack up 26,600 XP to reach level 15 on the Season Progress module. As always, you will get a choice of three players, all of which are rated between 88 and 89, so are a good fodder boost if you need to complete an SBC.
The following players are what you'll be able to choose between:
- Stephen Eustáquio (89, FC Porto)
- André Vidigal (88, Marítimo)
- Henk Veerman (88, FC Utrecht)
Generally, unless you're only picking up the game now, you're not going to be too interested in this selection of players. The pick of the bunch is probably Eustáquio from both a playing and a fodder perspective, but realistically there is no wrong (or right) pick here.

FIFA 22 Season 8 Storyline Players Level 30
Click to enlargeThe FIFA 22 Season 8 Storyline players that you can unlock at level 30 are usually a bit more interesting, and can find their way into your team a bit better. You will need a whopping 100,000 XP to make your way to the end of the Season Progress tracker, which usually can't be done until about a week before the season ends. The players that will be waiting for you as a reward when you reach the end are as follows:
- Gonzalo Higuaín (92, Inter Miami CF)
- Grady Diangana (91, West Brom)
- Radja Nainggolan (90, Royal Antwerp FC)
Figuring out the best player from the selection here is a bit more tricky, as it entirely depends on what you're looking for. Obviously, from a fodder perspective then going for Higuaín is your best option, as he holds the best rating at 92 which will really help you get some of the higher-rated SBCs out there completed.
However, from a fun perspective, you can't really turn down Nainggolan, who finally receives his annual mega-boosted special card. This is now the eighth FIFA in a row where he has received a card that breaches the 'Gullit Gang', which requires you to have all face stats over 80, so it is a great opportunity to continue that tradition by picking him. Would have been nice if EA gave him a skill moves and weak foot upgrade though, but I guess you can't ask for everything.
