Is Cold War Zombies Split Screen?
Loyal Call of Duty fans that enjoy playing with friends without the luxury of Xbox Live rely on split-screen. Using the ability to chop the screen in half in order to have two compatible players, split-screen has been a haven for sleepovers or parties, adding waves of competition, unless you have a dreaded screen watcher in the camp.
However, come the release of Black Ops Cold War, players were disgruntled at Zombies not being able to be played locally with two players on the same screen. Rewind back to earlier renditions of Black Ops where you could have four players in a single game playing on one console; the omission of the feature was slightly bemusing.
Back in the present day though, with the release of Black Ops Cold War Season 1, split-screen has finally been added.

HOW TO PLAY CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS COLD WAR ZOMBIES SPLIT-SCREEN
Zombies was originally supposed to be split-screen compatible, however, a bug was found to be preventing it from occurring. After a fix with the Season 1 release, it has now become available.
In order to access split-screen, the directions are quite straight forward. Simply sign in to your respective PlayStation or Xbox account, and press X/A to join the lobby leader. The first named gamer will need an active PS Plus or Xbox Live account should you want to head online, with the second player signing in as a guest.
The quality of the mode does suffer slightly, with the graphics stretched in two directions, however, Treyarch has been open in their communication with the fans and have reiterated that this should improve in later updates.
For now, grab your popcorn or beverage and an extra controller, and get yourself prepared for an all-night zombie-slaying experience.
