Is Plunder Coming To Warzone 2?

Many fans are wondering, is Plunder coming to Warzone 2? When Call of Duty Warzone 2 launched back on November 16, it came with the standard battle royale mode and the new, Tarkov-lite DMZ mode, but it notably lacked the fan favourite Plunder mode from the previous game. Is Plunder Coming To Warzone 2?

Currently, there is no official word on whether Activision plans to add the Plunder game mode into Warzone 2, and the only available game modes are the standard battle royale and DMZ modes as of now. This doesn't mean it won't make an appearance in the future, and with MW2 Season 2 likely to come during the start of February, it may be sooner than anticipated.

For those who don't know, Plunder was a game mode that was added to the first Warzone, and quickly became a fan favourite mode. It drops tonnes of players into the map like the normal battle royale mode, but instead of fighting to be the final one standing, you fight to loot goods across the map, with the team that collects the most plunder winning.

Not only did Plunder provide a nice break from the more hectic battle royale gameplay, but it also made for a great way to farm weapon XP and earn new attachments quickly. This popularity meant that its absence from Warzone 2 was quickly questioned. However, there are some fans who think they've found evidence of its existence already.

A notable discovery came from a YouTuber called tiktokalnuke, who found a glitched map icon that resembled the marker for the extraction zone in the original game mode. This could just be a leftover asset from the first game, but it may also suggest the mode is being worked on behind the scenes. 

That answers our question, is Plunder coming to Warzone 2? Currently, there's no official confirmation that the mode is being released, but it may launch sometime in the future. We'll also make sure to update this guide if there is any new information.
