MW2 Battle Pass Release Date
The latest iteration in the Call of Duty franchise, Modern Warfare 2, has finally made its global release across PlayStation, Xbox and PC platforms. And with that, we have players jumping into the game only to find a few promised content missing, like the Battle Pass and Tier 1 Playlist. In the wake of that, the community wants to know about the Modern Warfare 2 battle pass and when will it unlock. Since there is no in-game indication or answers, and the battle pass tab is being greyed out, at the moment, there's no timer or counter to learn when you will get to experience the Modern Warfare 2 battle pass. Modern Warfare 2 battle pass will launch the game's Season 1, officially commencing on November 16, 2022. Along with the Modern Warfare 2 battle pass, the said date will also mark the release of the revamped version of the free-to-play battle royale title, COD Warzone 2.0.

At current! The game does offer a placeholder tab for the battle pass. But it is greyed out and inaccessible. When you launch Modern Warfare 2, you will find the Batte Pass tab beside the Operators tab and in between the Operators and Store tabs. And if you were worried about it not being accessible being a bug or some kind of issue, then don't.
The Modern Warfare 2 battle pass is not available on day 1 of the game's global release. It was already confirmed before, and even the past Call of Duty games have seen the same trend as Modern Warfare 2. A pre-season before the commencement of an actual Season.
How To Unlock MW2 Premium Battle Pass
Click to enlargeAfter the release of Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 and the respective battle pass, the COD Modern Warfare 2 Vault Edition owners will automatically unlock the Premium battle pass along with 50-tier skips. Meanwhile, the standard version owners will have to use 1000 COD Points to unlock the battle pass, which translates to 10 USD. For a battle pass tier skip, you need 150 COD Points.
