Want some tips on how to get Credits in Overwatch 2? Not to be confused with Legacy Credits, Overwatch Credits from the original Overwatch are making a return in Overwatch 2. With this change, Overwatch 2 players can unlock Epic and Legendary Skins without spending real-world currency!

If this intrigues you, stick around as we review how to get Credits in Overwatch 2.

What Are Overwatch 2 Legacy Credits?

Overwatch 2 Legacy Credits is a currency in Overwatch 2 designed to replace Credits from the original Overwatch. If you had Credits on your account when Overwatch transitioned to Overwatch 2, your Credits would become Legacy Credits.

As of Overwatch 2 Season 3, Legacy Credits and Credits are essentially the same thing. Legacy Credits will no longer exist and are to be replaced by regular Overwatch Credits.

The primary difference between Legacy Credits and Credits is that Legacy Credits could not be earned in Overwatch 2. The only Overwatch 2 players with Legacy Credits are players that had Credits leftover from the original Overwatch.

Now that Overwatch Credits are back in their original form, players can earn Credits once again.

How To Get Credits In Overwatch 2

You can earn Overwatch 2 Credits by progressing through the Seasonal Battle Pass. The Season 3 Battle Pass will contain 1,500 Credits as free rewards and an extra 500 Credits as premium rewards.

So basically, all you need to do is complete Daily and Weekly Challenges while playing Overwatch 2, and you'll rack up Credits with little effort.

What Can You Spend Credits On In Overwatch 2?

Credits are primarily used to buy Hero Skins from the Hero Gallery. However, Blizzard is implementing some changes to make Skins more accessible than ever.

Nearly all Epic and Legendary Skins that were released prior to the launch of Overwatch 2 will be available to purchase year-round with Overwatch Coins or Credits. This includes Seasonal Skins too, like Witch Mercy. Even better, Blizzard is lowering the standard price of these Legendary Skins to 1,500 Overwatch Coins or Credits.

With these changes, Overwatch 2 players can theoretically purchase a Legendary Skin of their choice each season without reaching into their wallets!

Blizzard acknowledges that some Overwatch 2 players have an abundance of Credits, so these adjustments may not be enough to excite them. To make sure that everyone feels rewarded, Blizzard plans to add additional ways for players to spend Credits at a later date.

That's everything you need to know about getting and spending Credits in Overwatch 2. Say goodbye to Legacy Credits and welcome back Overwatch Credits!
