The requests of Pokemon Legends Arceus serve as side missions for players to chase down for extra rewards and they all have certain requirements to begin, which seems to be the source of confusion with Request 10, because it isn't unlocking for some players. Pokemon Legends Arceus Request 10: How To Begin
Click to enlargeThere are a couple of steps that must be completed for Request 10 to become available. Firstly, it seems that an amount of time must pass for Beauregard's Wurmple to evolve into a Cascoon. While the exact moment this happens isn't known, it seems you want to have at least reached the third area, the Cobalt Coastlands.
You then need to catch a Silcoon and evolve it at level 10 into a Beautifly. After achieving this, head to Galaxy Hall. You can start Request 10 from the blackboard in the Professor's study. Head back outside and speak to Beauregard to get started.

Pokemon Legends Arceus Request 10: How To Complete Wurmple's Evolved
Click to enlargeFor all its mystery, Request 10 is actually very simple. Beauregard is struggling to tell his Cascoon apart from a Silcoon and asks that you bring him a Silcoon to compare. Your choices are to either catch a Wurmple and evolve it, or find a Silcoon in the wild.
Evolving a Wurmple is a bit of a gamble, as there's no guarantee you will get a Silcoon. If you'd rather be sure, head to the Obsidian Fieldlands. Silcoon can be found during the day in Floaro Gardens or the Heartwood. When you have your Silcoon, return with it to Beauregard to complete the Request!
