Spider-Man Black Cat stakeouts are one of the many activities dotted around the map. Spider-Man is an open-world game, in so far as there is a map to explore and plenty of things to find and do. Black Cat stakeouts are a series of quick side missions in the game, where Spider-Man must find clues left by Black Cat. Here are all of the cat locations in Spider-Man Black Cat stakeouts.

Spider-Man Black Cat Stakeouts: How To Begin

As it is with most side activities in the game, you will be introduced to the Black Cat stakeouts during the main story. Not too far into the game, Spider-Man will receive a voice message from a blocked number. The voice will give him an address and taunt Spider-Man, challenging him to catch her if he can.

Go to the objective marker to trigger a cutscene. Another voice message plays, again Black Cat is taunting Spider-Man into chasing her. After the cutscene, you will be standing in front of a camera. This is the first stakeout of 12, so let's get into the details.

Once you interact with the first camera, you will begin viewing the area through it. You are tasked with finding whatever it is Black Cat wants you to find, which happens to be a small cat doll. This is the case for each stakeout mission, find the camera, then use it to find the cat doll. Thankfully, there are clues that will help you find them, and this first one is a prime example.

On the building directly across from you, on the roof that is much lower down, you will see a mural of Black Cat herself. Beside it is a door, inspect the slight opening in the door to find the cat doll on the floor. Zoom in and focus on it, then press R1/RB to take a picture. Once done, the rest of the stakeout missions will become unlocked, so check your map for their locations. Not every cat doll is as easy to find as the first, so here are some tips for each of the other ones.

In the stakeout in Greenwich, look to the far left once you activate the camera. The cat doll is in a doorway on a lower roof, the one with two orange parasols and some sun loungers. In the more southern of the two Hell's Kitchen stakeouts, look across the street to the green and pink mural. The cat doll is in a vent just to the right of it.

Then in the northern Hell's Kitchen stakeout, look down to street level. You will see a painting of Black Cat above a jewellery store, look in the window of the store to find the cat. In the Upper West Side, you will see a large building directly across from you with a pool on the roof. Look straight up from there and you will see a Black Cat mural on the next roof. From the mural, move your view straight to the left to find the cat doll propping open a trap door.

The next location is up in Harlem. Look to the right and you will see a roof with a large painting of a diamond, as well as a painting of Black Cat on a door. The doll is at the base of said door. On the Upper East Side you will see a short but ornate building directly below you. Check the right side of the building for a balcony, and you will see the cat doll there. Next, we go to the more northern stakeout in Midtown, just south of Central Park. There are a couple of shorter buildings in front of you, look down to the L-shaped roof to see a mural of Black Cat and the doll in a doorway. In the other Midtown stakeout, you will see a rooftop garden immediately to your right. The doll is at the foot of the door directly below the painting of Felicia.

Up next is the stakeout in Chinatown. Look up and to the right and you will see some skylights surrounded by walls covered in graffiti. The doll is in one of the open skylights. In the Financial District, just on the edge of Chinatown, you will see a billboard directly across the street with Black Cat's mask painted on it. Look underneath the billboard to find the doll. Finally, head to the stakeout in the south of the Financial District. Look down to the right to see an ornate-looking building, and look to the top roof to find the doll in a hatch, beside another painting of Black Cat.

Once all 12 cats have been found, Spider-Man will have the location of Black Cat's hideout. Follow the objective marker to the location, and scan the area for the secret door. Go inside, and you will find all the things Black Cat stole, as well as another recorded message and a brand-new suit. The Dark Suit is a sleek black and red number that goes well with Black Cat's look.

With no Black Cat here, the only option is to leave. When you do, Yuri will call to say that Black Cat used the cat dolls in the evidence lockup to disable the police station alarms, sneak in, and steal back her old gear. That is the last we will see or hear of Felicia Hardy until the Heist DLC, which is a story for another time.

That is it for the Spider-Man Black Cat stakeout missions. For more on the game, check out our Spider-Man backpacks guide.
