You may want to know how to farm V Rising Ghost Yarn, as it's one of the most important resources for crafting and building later in the game. A large aspect of V Rising's gameplay loop is gathering different materials and resources for crafting, allowing you to make yourself more powerful with new gear, or build up your own gothic castle. So for a breakdown of how to farm V Rising Ghost Yarn and earn its crafting recipe, read on.

As a valuable late-game material, Ghost Yarn is only available to farm in a select few places in the game. The best place to do this is by travelling toward the Cursed Forest region found in the north of the world map. On both the east and west side of this forest, you can find Ancient Villages which are full of enemies and chests.

Playing bloodthirsty will help you out here, so killing all the mobs and looting the chests should ensure that you grab a decent amount of Ghost Yarn. Afterwards, you can make your way to the opposite village, and by the time you return, all the mobs should have reset, allowing you to create a farming loop between the two villages.

  • Make sure to note where all of the V Rising Cave Passages are, as they allow you to fast travel to certain areas of the map.

On top of the consistent farming process for getting Ghost Yarn, you're also able to craft it by earning the recipe. The recipe can be gained after killing the boss called Ungora the Spider Queen. She is located deep inside a cave at the centre of the Cursed Forest, so you can even take her on during the farming process that we outlined above.

She is a level 60 boss, so you won't be able to take her until much later in the game, and you will need some strong gear, such as the weapons you can craft with V Rising Dark Silver Ingots. While fighting her, you won't need to worry about light, but she spawns many smaller spiders that you will need to focus on so you are clear to damage Ungora.

After she has been defeated, you will be rewarded with the Ghost Yarn recipe. Using a workbench back at your castle, you can craft a single Ghost Yarn with four Cotton Yarn (get the recipe for this by beating V Rising Beatrice the Tailor), and eight Ghost Shrooms, which can also be found in the Cursed Forest.

That's all for our walkthrough on how to farm V Rising Ghost Yarn, and now you know the best farming method, along with how to get the recipe for crafting.

We also have a full breakdown of the latest V Rising 0.5.41448 patch notes, which adds the LAN feature and server commands.
