Warzone crossplay has been a contentious topic in the past, as the battle royale has been plagued with cheaters and hacks. However, Warzone started a new chapter in its life with the launch of Warzone Pacific, and its new map Caldera. But does Warzone have crossplay in the new map? We're here to explain everything you need to know about Warzone crossplay, including what it is, if it's present, and how to turn it off.

Warzone matches bring it 150 different players to fill up its monumentally large map, Caldera. Yet as one of the most popular games in the world right now, it really shouldn't have any issue filling out its lobbies. That being said, Warzone does lessen the burden of lobby filling with the help of Warzone crossplay.

Warzone crossplay allows lobbies to be filled with players on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. And considering the game has yet to get a new-gen upgrade, that also includes last-gen consoles, the PS4 and Xbox One.

Warzone Crossplay: Should You Play With PC?

Warzone crossplay, as mentioned, has been the centre of some controversy for a while. Thanks to the cheating scandal, many console players were eager to remove themselves from crossplay, as cheaters and hackers came in from PCs. Yet crossplay is a fantastic way for players to team up with their pals on different platforms.

However, if your full squad is playing on a single console platform for example, then you likely should turn off crossplay on Warzone. While on Warzone Pacific, cheating issues aren't widely known thanks to the new RICOCHET anti-cheat software, PC players always have the benefit over console players with higher frame rates, snappier controls, and even wider field of view (FOV). The result is a rather unbalanced experience for console players, so if you've no reason to play with players on other platforms, we'd recommend turning it off.

If you've decided Warzone crossplay isn't the way for you, you may be wondering how to turn off crossplay in Warzone? The process is really easy. Just head into the Warzone menus, press the options button, and scroll along to the Account tab. The top option should be for Crossplay with a simple turn enable and disable tab.

If you are playing on console with crossplay disabled, you'll still be able to play with last-gen counterparts of your platform if you are playing on PS5 or Xbox Series consoles. Additionally, if you wish to turn crossplay back on just repeat this process until it lands on enabled. Crossplay in Warzone should be automatically enabled when you boot up the game.
