Warzone Cursed Chests: Cursed Ground Public Event Explained
The Cursed Ground Public Event introduces Warzone Cursed Chests to Fortune's Keep. Hidden around Warzone's Fortune's Keep island are Cursed Chests that spawn a horde of hungry zombies when you try to pry one open. But before you take on the army of the undead, you'll need to know where to find Warzone Cursed Chests, how to open them, and what rewards lie within.
- While it's possible to summon zombies to Fortune's Keep already via an easter egg, the Cursed Grounds Public Event is an entirely different monster.
Warzone Cursed Chests: Where To Find
Click to enlargeThere are five possible Cursed Chest spawns on Fortune's Keep. However, not every Cursed Chest appears in each match. To determine if a Cursed Chest is around or not, turn your eyes to the Tac Map; if you're close to a Cursed Chest, a white skull will pop up on your minimap.
Below are the locations where Cursed Chests can spawn:
- Winery — down in the cellar
- Keep — in the centre of the courtyard
- Grotto — underground in the cavern, north of the Redeploy Ballon
- Church — just south of Terraces
- Town — in the library north-east, beside a bell tower
- Look out for Warzone Portable Redeploy Balloons the next time you visit Caldera.
Warzone Cursed Chests: How To Open
Click to enlargeThe Warzone Cursed Ground Public Event begins the moment you attempt to open a Cursed Chest. Reanimated corpses will rise from the ground, hunting you and anyone else in the vicinity of the Cursed Chest. At first, these zombies will be relatively weak, but as you slay them, their comrades will grow stronger and stronger.
To break the seal on the Cursed Chest, you need to collect 25 Wisps before time expires on the event. Wisps appear when you eliminate a zombie, so basically, you need to kill 25 zombies.
Warzone Cursed Chests: Rewards
Click to enlargeOnce your Wisp collection is sufficient, the Cursed Chest will bust open, revealing an extravagant amount of loot.
Cursed Chests contain high-quality items and power-ups. Specific rewards include:
- Cash
- Killstreaks
- Equipment
- Perk Tokens
- Specialist Bonus
The exact loot is random each time, but all-in-all, you'll never be disappointed with what you find inside of a Cursed Chest.
