Luckily (or unluckily depending on your platform) the Warzone Error Torch is only affecting players on PlayStation 4 and 5. Reportedly, the error code will show up and subsequently lock players out of the game while they are still inside the app. Players are then completely unable to join into new matches of Warzone.

Raven Software and Activision haven't made official statements on the matter, so at this point we don't really know what's causing the issue. This issue comes just after many Warzone players grew sick of the Festive Fervor event which saw a murderous Krampus hunt down all players. Krampus is finally out of the game, and now the Warzone Error Torch arrives to spoil everything.

As mentioned, Raven Software hasn't mentioned anything on the Warzone Error Torch, meaning there is no official fix out there as of yet. That hasn't stopped some Reddit users from finding work around the error. It seems that there are three work arounds that players have tried out recently that may do the trick if you are locked out of the game. They are as follows:

  • Close down the app and restart the game
  • Switch from wireless network to a wired one
  • Delete the game and reinstall

The first is certainly the easiest and you should try this a couple of times before moving on to other attempts. We'd always recommend playing on a wired connection anyway, but this is supposedly helping some players. The third option is really the worst case scenario. Even with good internet Warzone will take some time to download, as it comes in at a hefty 106.5GB. However, if you are struggling with the other options, and just really want to play some Warzone, this is a way that many players are managing to bypass the Warzone Error Torch.

That's everything you need to know about the Warzone Error Torch. Once you manage to get back in the game, check out our best Bruen MK9 Warzone loadout
