After playing for a while, you'll no doubt be wondering what to do with old gear in Lost Ark. Lost Ark is an MMO that takes a lot of inspiration from action RPGs like Diablo to create a chaotic loop of combat and loot, meaning you will inevitably come away from a few hours of play with a full inventory. What To Do With Old Gear In Lost Ark?

The two main options you'll have for your old gear are selling or dismantling them. Selling them will net you a nice amount of coin usually, but there are so many ways to earn silver, Lost Ark gold, and the other currencies, that it's a waste. This is why you will want to dismantle any old gear that you have for extra resources.

This applies to any weapons and armour that you are no longer getting use from in-game. Better gear will be noted by a blue arrow icon, so anything that's long past its use is better being dismantled. Doing this will give you resources that can be used for crafting, and the monetary value is similar to what you would receive for selling them anyway. On top of this, you can gain unique drops from dismantling to make your future crafts even better. 

Dismantling is as simple as opening your inventory screen, and clicking the second icon on the bottom of that same window, which looks like a hammer. You can also choose individual items, or sort items by their rarity, for example, letting you dismantle all common items while leaving the rare gear. There's even an option to dismantle gear on pickup which is useful in the end-game when it's unlikely that you'll need new gear to use.
