So if you have previously played the original Overwatch and already have an account, yet you're finding all your unlocked heroes to be locked, you don't need to worry as your progress hasn't actually been wiped. It's certainly a problematic bug and stops you from playing who you want, but it doesn't mean you'll need to work for all the heroes again.
